David F. Walford is well known in his native East Yorkshire as an enthusiastic and knowledgeable walker and backpacker. He has over 30 years experience of walking in all terrain, from the gentle dales of Yorkshire to the spectacular peaks of Scotland. Nationally he established a challenging and unusual coast-to-coast route across Scotland, whilst in his home county his published works are the first choice for visitors and locals alike.
In recent years David has been involved with the Yorkshire Coast Community Rail Partnership and currently works as Rail Development consultant.
